Using Wisdom In the Use Of Your Linux Server

This article covers some basic Linux security practices, as well as what commands are and aren't safe to execute.

A test entry

Hello, everyone!
I'm back with you once again, and with many more modules on the site than I had before. I'm testing the functionality of posting automatically to my twitter account at the moment, though since I haven't posted to the site in many months, perhaps it's just as well. Now, everyone knows I'm still alive! Excellent, isn't it?

I will, hopefully, be posting about some of the new modules, and perhaps adding more techy articles in the future, but we all know how that's been.

Mac OS X Lion Released Yesterday

Hello, all.
As many know by now, Mac OS X Lion was released yesterday morning. In fact, I was one of the first to get and install Mac OS X Lion, though wasn't the first to write an article about it due to some memory issues I was having. However, as promised, I'm writing an article detailing my experiences in obtaining and installing Mac OS X Lion.

Information About Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

Hello, everyone.
As many Apple fans already know, Mac OS X Lion, Apple's latest operating system as of this writing, was not released today. As this date was the expected release date for some, many of those who heard about it are, I'd imagine, rather disappointed. I myself am somewhat, though still anticipate the release.

Linode Review

Hello, everyone.
Today, I would like to review linode.com. This is the hosting provider giving me the resources to run this excellent site and its associated servers. First, I'll explain the difference between three types of services that I know of that could potentially offer the same thing, then will explain why I chose Linode and have decided to stick with it.

Variety Network Migration To Drupal

Hello, everyone!
Today, I'm coming to you from Sprint's fabulous network via an ISP known as Clear, but more about that later.

Voiceover: The Basics

Hello, everyone!
This is yet another infrequent blog entry, this one discussing the basics of VoiceOver, the screen reader employed by Apple on their Mac computers, iPhones (3GS and above), iPods (3G and above), their second generation Apple TV, and all of their iPad computers.

Blog Changes And Audio Software

Hello, everyone.
This entry is somewhat an update, somewhat an informational blog entry. First, I'll begin with the update, which is rather short.

I have disabled user registration on my wordpress blog, as spammer bots have registered. I will be deleting the existing user accounts, so if you want one for some reason, send me an e-mail at blakeblind@gmail.com with your desired username and e-mail address. I will get to adding the account when I can. Since I'm now running Drupal, this no longer applies.

Now, the cool content.

Using TeamTalk 4.1 on Mac OS X

Hello, everyone who's reading this blog. It's been quite a while since I've posted anything here, but I have some rather exciting news for any of you who might use or want to use TeamTalk. It's been available for the Mac, but it wasn't until recently that I figured out how to use it, granted, in a very limited fassion. It does work, though, and I'll explain the program and how to use it below.

Wordpress Application On The iPhone

Hello, everyone. Once again, I have decided to post another blog entry, this time regarding the wordpress application on the iPhone. Again, I will present it from an accessibility standpoint.

I am currently using a rather fantastic bluetooth keyboard, and with the introduction of iOS 4.1, I can now control the iPhone using the keyboard. I have installed the free wordpress application on my iPhone and have used it to access and post my blog entry.
